Urban Decay Rollergirl Palette Review

I have fallen madly in love with Urban Decay products and this past year I have bought 2 new palettes from them. The first one I am going to review is the Rollergirl Palette, which came out a couple years ago but I have had my eye on ever since. This palette doesn't get a lot of attention which I thought was sad because it is an amazing palette which is super versatile and unique, like all Urban Decay products are. I have not seen this palette swatched or reviewed in great detail at all on the internet so I thought why not! Its a wonderful palette that I highly recommend to everyone!

The palette comes with a mini Lip Junkie in the color Crush. The Lip Junkie lip glosses are fantastic, they smell and taste great and aren't sticky or gooey like many other lip glosses. This color in particular in almost an exact replica of the color Woodstock which I will show you in a minute.

The palette also includes a smaller 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in the color Whiskey. This color goes on the eye as a lighter brown and is extremely flattering on lighter skin tones. This color is perfect for natural makeup looks and the Glide-On Eye Pencils are great for smudging.

The palette includes 4 shadows:
Woodstock
Verve
Suspect
Darkhorse

Below are some swatches of the colors:
Woodstock: This is a vibrant pink color with hints of silver shimmer. I had a hard time finding the right look with this color as an eye-shadow so instead I doubled it a a blush and lip color!
Verve: This is definitely a highlight color as it is extremely shimmery and is flattering on absolutely everyone! It is a silvery white color that can be applied on the inner corners of the eye as well as under the brows.
Suspect: This color is great for both every day looks as well as evening looks. It is a light shimmery golden color that can easily be blended and can also be doubled as a highlight.
Darkhorse: This color can also be found in the original Naked palette and is absolutely one of my favorite brown eye shadows that I have. It is a matte brown with flecks of gold glitter that are not very noticeable but does add to the colors composition.
Overall I believe this palette is a must have, especially for beginners who don;t have much variety. These shadows can be worn everyday as well as the liner and gloss. The palette is also compact enough to keep in a purse and great for travel. As always with Urban Decay products the pigmentation and quality of the shadows is amazing and all the colors are completely unique. I adore this palette and recommend it to everyone!
Hope this review helped in making some smart makeup decisions!

Easy Summer Nail Tutorial

Yellows and Pinks always reminds me of summer, so why not do a tutorial for fun painted summer nails!

Step 1:
Pick out two fun summer colors that compliment each other. I used Sally Hansen's Nail Polish in Mellow Yellow and Mauve.

Step 2:
If you need to apply a base coat and your base color. I used the yellow as a base color and applied two coats to each nail.

Step 3:
Using the darker polish, apply generously to a makeup sponge (these can be found in any drugstore).
Quick tip! Keep in mind the sponge will absorb some of the nail polish so you may have to re-apply often.

Step 4:
Use the sponge and lightly dab the color on your nail. I only dabbed the sponge in the upper corners of my nail but you are welcome to dab the color anywhere you like!

Step 5:
Apply top coat and use a Q-tip and makeup remover to clean up the polish around your nail and on your skin.

Hope you all enjoyed this tutorial! Have fun!

Closet Staples

Have you ever found yourself just staring into your closet every morning trying to find something to wear?
I know I have!
Here are some quick tips for your closet that will give you plenty of options to mix and match to create endless outfits!
Dark Wash Skinny Jeans
Jean are an absolute must in everyone's closet. It's a sin not to have them! Dark wash jeans are an essential addition to your closet because they can be dressed up or dressed down for any occasion. Skinny jeans in particular are great for a wide variety of shoes. You can wear them with sneakers, flip flops, flats, and heels! For those women who are a little self conscious about wearing skinny jeans, try a dark wash boot-cut jean. They are less figure hugging than skinnies and will balance out your figure if you are a little more curvy or top heavy. Try to avoid washes that create horizontal lines on your legs as these will make you look wider
Jean Jacket
A jean jacket is absolutely timeless and can also be dressed up or down. Its a great cover-up over a light summer dress and pairs great with shorts. Be careful however when mixing a jean jacket with jeans. The key is to miss match the denim. For example, wear dark wash, black, or colored jeans with a light wash jacket. This will help you avoid looking like your wearing a denim bodysuit...Eww.
Classic T-Shirt
A T-shirt is so simple and can be worn everyday depending on what you pair it with. Its always good to have a plain black and plain white T-shirt because its universal and matches everything. The key so dressing up a T-shirt is accessories. Jewelry and scarves can make a simple T-shirt that much better.
Structured Jacket
A blazer or a structured jacket is great for any occasion. From work to just covering up a blazer can transform your look. A blazer can also double for a fall or spring jacket. A black structured blazer is essential for going out on cold nights and looks great with almost any dress or skirt.
Yoga Pants
I personally must have yoga pants in my closet. One, they are so comfortable and two, they make your legs and butt look great! Who wouldn't want that?! Not only are they great for working out, they are perfectly acceptable to wear in public instead of huge sweatpants.
High Leather Boots
Leather boots are so popular now a days and for good reason too! They pair great with a dress, jeans and skirts and can be worn in all seasons! They are extremely durable and most are water proof so its easy to look fashionable even on rainy days.
Summer Dress
A fun summer dress will never go out of style and lasts forever! A dress that is cinched in at the waist is flattering on anyone and fun colors and patterns compliment everyone!
Black Flats
Flats are great because they can be worn at work and with a casual outfit. They come in so many varieties with embellishments on the tops and heels as well. Black flats match anything and are so versatile.
Nude Heels
Nude heels are a must have in every women's closet. They come in a million styles and match absolutely everything! You'll never have to buy new shoes to match an outfit again.

These are just a few of the essential things I have in my closet that I cannot live without! Comment below if you want to know where I found all my closet staples :)
