Tools of the Trade

Essence of Beauty Makeup Brushes
The tools of the trade are a key part in makeup application and getting the most out of your makeup. Whether it be applying foundation, eye shadows, blushes or liners, makeup brushes will help you achieve your best look possible!
The makeup brushes I use daily are Essence of Beauty brushes that have a wide variety of brush sizes, various materials and shapes to choose from and are great for every day use! They are extremely  durable and can easily be cleaned. The best part of these brushes are the dual ends, which as you can see in the photo on the right have a brush on each end. This is great for traveling because you'll have less brushes to carry around and they're really convenient!
The first brush at the top is the blending and eye-shadow brush. The eye-shadow side is an excellent angular brush, which is quite large and really soft. Its made of natural materials so its good for the environment and in itself is great for blending as well. The blending brush on the other side is very fluffy and has a straight end perfect for blending out harsh edges, especially for smokey eye looks.
The middle brush is the blush and powder brush. I personally use both ends to apply powder foundation but the blush side is perfect for applying both blushes and bronzers as well. Because of the angled shape it is great for sculpting your face and getting the color into your cheekbones. The powder brush is really soft and is perfect for blending the powder and getting it into the creases of your face, especially around the nose and eye area.
The last brush if the foundation and concealer brush. This brush is extremely soft and has synthetic bristles so it won't "eat up" your foundation. It sometimes gets a little cakey on the brush but is extremely easy to clean. The concealer brush is perfect for blending our your concealer and I even use it as an eye-shadow brush!

Essence of Beauty Pencil Brush
The brushes in the photo on the right are small and medium size pencil brushes. These brushes do not come dual ended but are very small and do not take up a lot of space at all. Pencil brushes are my absolute favorite makeup brush because they allow you to have great precision when applying eye-shadow. They are perfect for applying a small and larger amount of makeup and are also great for detailing. Pencil brushes may also be called crease brushes as they are ideal for applying color in the crease of your eyelid and along the lower lash line.

Essence of Beauty eyebrow and liner brush
On the left is a brush I think every girl should have. This brush has an eyelash comb and eyebrow brush on one end and an angled eyeliner brush on the other. The eyebrow brush is great for taming unruly eyebrows for everyday as well as brushing them for grooming. The angles liner brush is also made form synthetic material and is really stiff for precise application. The liner brush can also be used to apply eye-shadow to the upper lids and lower lash line as well as an alternative for a lip liner brush if you don't have a lip pencil.

I also highly recommend non-latex makeup sponges that are reusable and can be used for multiple applications. It is perfect for blending foundation, eye-shadow, applying lotions, blushes, bronzers and can also be used for nail art.
All the products I mentioned are available at drugstores, but I found all these products at CVS for less then $10. These brushes are perfect starters to your makeup kit and are extremely high quality.
